Hedera’s native token HBAR rose 22.6% over the past 24 hours to trade at $0.1188 on September 29, 2026. The move came on unusually heavy trading, with daily volume equal to about 30% of the token’s market value.
Traders appear to have reacted to two developments: an enterprise identity product built on Hedera was listed on IBM’s cloud marketplace, and NVIDIA launched a major AI agent safety platform the same week. HBAR reached a high of $0.1306 but could not hold it, and the price has since settled near $0.12.
HBAR Price Today: The Key Numbers
Hedera is a public distributed ledger technology (DLT) network run by a council of large companies. Its native token, HBAR, pays for transaction fees and other network services.
According to CoinGecko data, HBAR traded at $0.1188 at the time of writing, up 22.6% in 24 hours. The 24-hour low was $0.09613, and the high was $0.1306. That is a range of almost 36% in a single day.

HBAR’s market capitalization, which is the price multiplied by the tokens in circulation, stood at $5.207 billion. That places it at rank #26 among all cryptocurrencies. Its fully diluted valuation (FDV), which assumes all 50 billion tokens were in circulation, was $5.939 billion. 24-hour trading volume reached $1.567 billion.
HBAR Price Analysis: What the Chart Shows
The 24-hour chart shows three phases.
In the first phase, HBAR traded flat just under $0.10, between roughly $0.097 and $0.099. In the second, buyers pushed price almost vertically through $0.10 and $0.105 in one move. Price kept climbing in steps and reached $0.124, then printed the session high of $0.1306.
In the third phase, price pulled back and spent the rest of the session between about $0.116 and $0.121. At $0.1188, HBAR sits about 9% below its high and about 23.6% above its low.
Volume matters here. At $1.567 billion, 24-hour trading equalled roughly 30% of HBAR’s market capitalisation. This level of turnover suggests wide participation, not a thin move pushed by a few orders. However, heavy volume alone does not confirm that the market accepts the new price—the failure to hold $0.13 shows that sellers were active at higher prices.
HBAR vs Bitcoin and Crypto Market Overview
The same page shows HBAR at 0.00000143 BTC, also up 22.6%. When a token gains the same percentage against both the US dollar and bitcoin, it means bitcoin itself barely moved. In other words, this rally was specific to HBAR and was not driven by a broader market move.
Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency by market value, traded near $83,000 according to CoinGecko’s bitcoin page. The Crypto Times reported Bitcoin at $83,244 on 28 September 2026, down about 1.6% from the prior business day. With the market leader flat to lower, HBAR’s gain stood out.
What Drove the Hedera Rally
IBM Cloud Catalog Listing for IDTrust
The main verifiable catalyst is a product listing, not an investment by IBM in HBAR.
On September 23, 2026, The Hashgraph Group announced that its IDTrust platform had been validated and listed on the IBM Cloud Catalog. The Hashgraph Group (THG) is a Swiss Web3 and artificial intelligence (AI) engineering company that builds enterprise software on Hedera. The IBM Cloud Catalog is IBM’s marketplace, where enterprise customers can find and buy IBM and third-party cloud products.
IDTrust is a self-sovereign identity (SSI) platform. It gives people, devices, and AI agents digital identities they can prove, using decentralized identifiers (DIDs) and verifiable credentials anchored on Hedera. THG pitches it as a “Know Your Agent” (KYA) tool, meaning a way for companies to check that an AI agent is authorised to act on someone’s behalf.
In the same announcement, THG said it had qualified for IBM Silver Partner status and signed a global Embedded Solution Agreement (ESA) with IBM covering cloud and AI technology. An ESA lets a partner build IBM technology into its own products. THG described IDTrust as the first commercial Hedera-based enterprise application available as software as a service (SaaS) through a major cloud marketplace.
IBM has been a member of the Hedera Governing Council since 2019, so the relationship itself is not new. What is new is distribution: a Hedera-built product can now be bought through IBM’s catalog. The announcement did not disclose customer numbers, contract values, or expected HBAR transaction fees. A listing opens a sales channel. It is not booked revenue.
NVIDIA’s AI Agent Safety Launch
On September 28, 2026, NVIDIA launched its Open Agent Safety Platform, a set of tools designed to stop AI agents from acting outside their permitted limits. It combines OpenShell, open-source software that sets boundaries for agents, with Sentry, a monitoring system that runs on NVIDIA BlueField-4 data processing units (DPUs).
NVIDIA said more than 100 organiZations are working with the platform’s technologies, and IBM is among them. Hedera is not named in NVIDIA’s release, and NVIDIA did not announce any Hedera integration. The link to HBAR is indirect: a Hedera Council member appeared in a high-profile AI safety launch in the same week that a Hedera-based AI identity product reached IBM’s marketplace. Traders seem to have connected the two themes.
CLPR Contribution to the Linux Foundation
On September 24, 2026, the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust (LFDT) announced CLPR, pronounced “clipper,” as a new lab contributed by Hedera and developed by the Hashgraph team. CLPR, short for Cross-Ledger Protocol, lets separate blockchain networks verify each other’s data without bridges or middlemen. This adds enterprise context but was not, on its own, the trigger for the 24-hour move.
What Is Not New: The BlackRock Headlines
Some social media posts this week linked the rally to BlackRock. Those claims recycle an older story.
In April 2024, shares of BlackRock’s ICS US Treasury money market fund were tokenized on Hedera through London-based digital asset firm Archax and Ownera. That effort was carried out by those firms, not launched by BlackRock on Hedera.
BlackRock’s own most recent tokenization announcement, published on August 3, 2026, covered two tokenized money market products. It named Ethereum for one of them and listed BNY and Securitize as tokenization providers. It does not mention Hedera. Any claim of tens of billions of dollars “on Hedera” should be treated as unconfirmed.
Supply Is Not the Story
According to CoinGecko, 43.832 billion of HBAR’s 50 billion maximum supply is already in circulation, about 87.7%. With most tokens already on the market, this rally was driven by demand and attention, not by a change in token supply.
HBAR Price: Key Levels to Watch
The first area to watch is $0.115 to $0.117, where price found support several times during the pullback. Below that, the breakout zone of $0.10 to $0.105 is the next major support. A return below $0.10 would erase most of the day’s gains.
On the upside, $0.125 is the first resistance, followed by the session high of $0.1306. The high will only count as a meaningful level if price retests it and holds above it. Until then, the market is still deciding whether $0.12 is a fair price for HBAR after the news.
HBAR has seen sharp, volume-led rallies before, including a 32% single-day jump in November 2024. Whether this one lasts depends on follow-through, not on the headline.
Bottom Line
HBAR did not rise because IBM bought the token. It rose because a Hedera-built identity product became an item in IBM’s cloud catalog, NVIDIA pushed AI agent safety into the headlines the same week, and an IBM name appeared in both stories. Volume confirmed real buying interest. The $0.13 high did not hold. The next test is whether HBAR can stay above $0.12.
