Key Highlights
- Ondo Stocks has been integrated with near.com and NEAR Intents, initially covering 20 tokenized stocks, ETFs and commodity-linked products.
- The rollout includes assets such as Tesla, Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon and QQQ.
- NEAR Intents provides cross-chain routing across supported wallets, applications and networks.
Ondo Finance has expanded distribution of its tokenized stocks and ETFs through the NEAR ecosystem, giving eligible users another route to access the assets through near.com and NEAR Intents.
According to Ondo’s September 22 announcement, the initial rollout includes 20 tokenized stocks, ETFs and commodity-linked products. The securities remain issued by Ondo, while NEAR provides an additional interface and routing layer.
The move follows Ondo’s earlier expansion across networks including Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain.
20 tokenized assets added to NEAR
The initial selection includes tokenized exposure to companies such as Tesla, Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft and Amazon, along with the QQQ ETF.
The rollout also includes products linked to commodities such as gold and silver.
These assets are issued by Ondo rather than by the NEAR network. Users in supported jurisdictions can access the products through near.com, subject to applicable eligibility and platform restrictions.
Ondo said more assets could be added to the integration over time.
NEAR Intents provides cross-chain routing
The integration also connects Ondo Stocks with NEAR Intents, which facilitates transactions across supported wallets, applications and blockchain networks.
NEAR said its infrastructure supports activity across more than 30 networks.
For Ondo users, the setup is intended to simplify transactions involving assets issued on different chains without requiring users to manually determine the relevant network for each transaction.
The integration does not create a separate NEAR-native version of the securities. Instead, it provides another route into Ondo’s existing multichain tokenized-asset ecosystem.
Ondo links tokenization with traditional fund infrastructure
The NEAR rollout comes as Ondo works to connect its tokenized products with conventional financial-market infrastructure.
On September 16, Ondo’s broker-dealer subsidiary Oasis Pro Markets joined the DTCC Fund/SERV network, becoming the first tokenization-platform member of the system.
DTCC says Fund/SERV processes more than 85% of U.S. mutual fund transaction activity.
The connection provides access to established processes including transaction confirmations, reconciliation, fund distributions and regulatory reporting.
The development gives Ondo a connection to infrastructure used by traditional fund-market participants, alongside its blockchain-based distribution channels.
Share-based minting adds institutional supply route
Ondo has separately introduced a mechanism that allows approved institutions to mint tokenized securities using eligible shares they already hold.
Under the system, institutions can contribute qualifying shares and receive corresponding Ondo tokenized stocks or ETFs. The process can also be reversed, allowing the tokenized assets to be redeemed for the underlying shares.
The mechanism operates through Ondo Stocks and Alpaca’s Instant Tokenization Network.
This differs from the NEAR integration. NEAR concerns how existing tokenized assets can be accessed and routed, while share-based minting addresses the creation and redemption of tokenized securities using underlying shares.
Ondo’s tokenized asset network continues to expand
Ondo’s tokenized securities are already available across several blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain.
The company reports more than $1 billion in TVL and more than 450 tokenized stocks and ETFs across its broader platform. Those figures cover Ondo’s overall tokenized-securities business and do not represent the size of the NEAR rollout.
Ondo has also expanded distribution through third-party platforms, including Ledger Wallet, where eligible users can interact with its tokenized stocks and ETFs.
Tokenized securities gain more distribution channels
Ondo’s recent developments cover different parts of the tokenization process.
The NEAR integration adds another blockchain-based route for eligible users, while DTCC Fund/SERV connectivity links the company’s products with established fund-processing infrastructure. The share-based minting system addresses how institutions can supply and redeem the underlying securities.
The developments do not by themselves indicate how widely tokenized stocks and ETFs will ultimately be adopted. Availability remains dependent on jurisdiction, investor eligibility, regulated intermediaries and the platforms supporting the products.
For now, Ondo is expanding the number of blockchain networks through which its tokenized securities can be accessed while building connections with traditional financial-market infrastructure.
