U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded nearly $1 billion ($999 million) in net inflows on September 21, extending a three-day streak of positive flows as Bitcoin climbed above $86,000.
According to data from SosoValue (on September 22 at 2.22 p.m. UTC), the funds recorded about $999 million in net inflows. The latest buying brought the three-day total to nearly $1.6 billion, following $433 million in inflows on September 18.
Monday’s inflow was more than twice the amount recorded during the previous trading session, marking a sharp rebound after two consecutive days of outflows earlier in the month.
BlackRock leads Bitcoin ETF inflows
Data from SosoValue (on September 22 at 2.22 p.m. UTC) shows that BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT)attracted the largest inflow on Monday, bringing in $381.4 million.
ARK Invest and 21Shares’ ARKB followed with $289.1 million, while Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) recorded $238.8 million.
Together, those three funds attracted about $909.3 million, accounting for roughly 91% of the total daily inflows.

Other funds also record inflows
Several other Bitcoin ETFs also posted positive flows during the session.
Morgan Stanley’s MSBT attracted $61.7 million. Bitwise’s BITB added $21.6 million, while Grayscale’s GBTC received $3.3 million and its Bitcoin Mini Trust added another $3.1 million.
Every Bitcoin ETF that reported a non-zero flow on Monday recorded an inflow. Cumulative net inflows across the U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF category reached approximately $56.23 billion.
Bitcoin climbs above $86,000
The strong ETF demand came as Bitcoin rallied more than 6%, surging from around $81,146 to $86,600 before trading above $86,000 and moving close to $87,000.
The move put Bitcoin at its highest level since January. At the time of reporting, the token now trades for $86,131, up a modest 1% within the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap (on September 22 at 2.22 p.m. UTC).

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded around $4.5 billion in trading volume during Monday’s session.
Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart said the volume was relatively modest when compared with the size of Bitcoin’s price move. He noted that Friday’s ETF trading volume was slightly higher at $4.6 billion.
Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas highlighted the size of the inflow. He described the Bitcoin ETFs as recording more than $1 billion in flows and said it was their biggest one-day flow haul since October.
He pointed to IBIT leading with $381 million, while ARKB and FBTC each brought in more than $200 million. Balchunas also noted that all of the major Bitcoin ETF issuers contributed to the inflows.
ETF demand coincides with short liquidations
CryptoQuant reported that the $999 million ETF inflow represented nearly 12,000 BTC. The analytics firm also pointed to about $345 million in Bitcoin short positions were liquidated during the day.
According to CryptoQuant, Bitcoin’s surge from $81,146 to $86,600 came alongside ETF demand, short liquidations, and limited historical trading activity between $80,000 and $85,000.
According to data from SosoValue (on September 22 at 2.22 p.m. UTC), the latest inflows followed heavy withdrawals earlier in September. Bitcoin ETFs recorded $450.4 million in outflows on September 15 and another $295.9 million on September 16. The funds then returned to positive territory with $433 million in inflows on September 18 before Monday’s much larger buying.
Ether and Solana ETFs also attract capital
Bitcoin was not the only digital asset attracting ETF demand on September 21.
U.S. spot Ether ETFs added $270 million, while Solana products received another $26 million. Combined, Bitcoin, Ether and Solana ETFs recorded approximately $1.295 billion in net inflows during the session.
The latest figures put Bitcoin ETF demand back in focus after the earlier September outflows, with nearly $1 billion entering the funds in a single session as Bitcoin moved above $86,000.
