Bybit Pay Joins Mesh Network, Connecting 80M Users to Payments

Key Highlights

  • Bybit Pay has integrated with Mesh, allowing users to fund accounts and make payments on Mesh-powered platforms directly from their Bybit balances.
  • Mesh says its network connects more than 300 wallets and exchanges, while Bybit says it serves more than 80 million users.
  • Businesses already using Mesh can enable Bybit Pay through their existing integration, with support for configurable settlement options.

Crypto exchange Bybit has partnered with crypto payments infrastructure provider Mesh to bring Bybit Pay to platforms connected to the Mesh network.

Under the integration, users can select Bybit Pay when funding an account or completing a payment on a Mesh-powered platform and use eligible assets held on Bybit. The companies announced the partnership on September 3

The setup is intended to remove several steps from conventional crypto payments. Users would otherwise potentially need to withdraw assets from an exchange, convert them into another asset or manually transfer funds before completing a transaction.

How Does the Bybit-Mesh Integration Work?

For users, Bybit Pay will appear as a payment or account-funding option on participating Mesh-powered platforms. The transaction can then draw on assets held in the user’s Bybit account rather than requiring a separate transfer before checkout.

For businesses already connected to Mesh, Bybit Pay can be activated through their existing Mesh integration rather than requiring a separate direct integration with Bybit.

Mesh says its infrastructure currently connects more than 300 wallets and exchanges. Its system handles connectivity and transfers between supported platforms, including routing assets from the account where a user already holds them.

The partnership therefore adds Bybit’s user base to a network that already connects exchanges, wallets and financial platforms. Bybit says it serves more than 80 million users globally.

Mesh CEO and co-founder Bam Azizi said the aim is to bring payment infrastructure closer to where users already hold their assets.

“People shouldn’t have to move their money to use it.”

Sophie Chen, Head of Marketing at Bybit Card & Pay, said the integration is designed to let users make payments directly from their existing Bybit balances while allowing receiving platforms to settle in their preferred asset.

Bybit Extends Its Crypto Payments Push

The Mesh integration comes as Bybit continues to expand the use of its exchange balances beyond trading.

On September 3, Bybit separately added direct Bybit Pay access for eligible assets held in Unified Trading Accounts, removing the previous requirement to manually move those assets into a Funding Account before making a payment.

The company has also been building external payment connections. The Crypto Times previously reported that Bybit Pay partnered with SettlePay to extend its payment infrastructure across merchant networks and local payment methods.

According to the latest announcement, businesses can begin enabling Bybit Pay through Mesh immediately. The companies did not specify integration-specific transaction fees, supported assets or a complete list of markets where the new payment option will be available.
