Strive Adds $81.5M in Bitcoin as Corporate Treasury Reaches 21,356

Key Highlights

  • Strive added 1,110 BTC for about $81.5 million at an average price of $73,409 per BTC.
  • The purchase raised Strive’s total Bitcoin holdings to 21,356 BTC, making it one of the largest corporate Bitcoin holders.
  • Strive continues to fund its Bitcoin purchases through share sales, including its ASST common stock and SATA preferred stock offerings.

Strive, Inc, a Bitcoin treasury firm, has added another 1,110 Bitcoin (BTC) to its corporate treasury for about $81.5 million.

According to a filing and a post from Chairman and CEO Matt Cole, the company bought the Bitcoin between August 17 and August 21 at an average price of $73,409 per BTC. The purchases were funded with proceeds from the sale of SATA and ASST shares.

Strive’s Bitcoin holdings reach 21,356 BTC

With this new purchase, the company now has total Bitcoin holdings of 21,356 BTC. Before the deal, the company held 20,246 BTC after its previous purchase of 79 BTC. This means Strive added more than 1,000 Bitcoin in just one transaction, making the latest buy much larger than the smaller purchases it had made earlier in August.

It also pushed the company higher among the list of companies that added Bitcoin to their treasury. According to Bitcoin Treasuries, the company is now the seventh-largest Bitcoin-holding firm in the world, just behind Bullish and above SpaceX.

Strive’s cash position also changed during the period. The company reported $171.9 million in cash and cash equivalents after the latest treasury update. At the same time, the firm continued to use its share offerings to raise money for its Bitcoin buying strategy.

Strive’s recent purchases

The purchase came only days after Strive bought 79 BTC between August 10 and August 14. At the time, Strive said it paid about $5 million for the coins, with an average price of $63,231 per Bitcoin, including fees and expenses. That purchase was what initially increased Strive’s holdings to 20,246 BTC.

Strive has made a series of smaller purchases in recent weeks. On August 7, it bought 147 BTC for about $9.5 million at an average price of $64,812 per BTC, according to data from the official website.

Before that, it purchased 20 BTC on July 31 for about $1.27 million. It also bought 79 BTC on July 24, 21 BTC on July 17, 18 BTC on July 10, and another 18 BTC on July 2.

These purchases helped push Strive’s Bitcoin holdings past the 20,000 BTC mark in July. The company has continued adding to its holdings since reaching that milestone.

Share sales fund Bitcoin purchases

Strive is funding these purchases through its capital-raising activities. The company sells shares of its Class A common stock under the ASST ticker through at-the-market offerings. It also raises money through its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, which trades under the SATA ticker.

The company’s broader Bitcoin strategy has also included changes to its balance sheet. In January 2026, Strive completed its acquisition of Semler Scientific, bringing about 5,048 BTC onto its balance sheet. The acquisition gave Strive a significantly larger Bitcoin treasury and increased its holdings relative to other publicly traded companies.

The latest purchase adds another 1,110 BTC to that treasury, taking Strive’s holdings to 21,356 BTC. The company continues to use equity and preferred-stock offerings as part of its strategy to finance additional Bitcoin purchases.
