NEAR adds Intel-verified confidential inference
On August 12, NEAR Protocol said NEAR AI Cloud now runs confidential inference verified by Intel Trust Authority. Intel serves as a confidential hardware partner, supplying isolation for data protection.
According to the announcement, every workload returns an Intel-signed proof that can be checked independently. The protocol noted that most confidential computing systems require users to trust the same operator for both running and verifying the workload. NEAR AI Cloud separates the two functions, with NEAR operating the system and Intel providing independent verification.
Price remains below recent levels
The 24-hour chart showed the token advancing from levels near $1.55 early in the session, reaching a peak above $1.67 before settling near $1.65. The one-week chart displayed a decline from approximately $1.71 at the start of the period, with a low near $1.55 before a partial recovery to the current level.
Circulating supply and total supply were both listed at 1.3 billion NEAR. Fully diluted valuation matched the market capitalization at $2.15 billion. The number of holders was recorded at 12.75 thousand.
The recent advance comes as NEAR rebounds from its July decline while the protocol adds independently verifiable confidential inference to its AI Cloud platform.
