Ripple Launches Ripple Mint to Expand RLUSD for Institutions

Key Highlights

  • Ripple has launched Ripple Mint, a new platform for institutional RLUSD operations.
  • Institutions can now mint, redeem, bridge, and manage RLUSD through both web-based and API-driven workflows.
  • Ripple Mint introduces automated APIs, webhook notifications, and real-time transaction tracking.

Ripple, a blockchain technology company, today launched Ripple Mint, a new platform designed to simplify how institutions access and manage Ripple USD (RLUSD) as competition in the regulated stablecoin market continues to intensify.

According to an official release, Ripple Mint enables exchanges, payment providers, fintech firms, market makers, and enterprise customers to mint, redeem, bridge, and monitor RLUSD through either a web interface or direct API integrations.

Meet Ripple Mint.

A unified platform for institutions to access, mint, redeem, and manage $RLUSD.

Built for scale with both UI and API access, Ripple Mint gives institutions the flexibility to automate stablecoin operations, integrate RLUSD into existing systems, and manage…

— Ripple (@Ripple) July 23, 2026

The launch expands Ripple’s institutional infrastructure for RLUSD, supporting payments, treasury management, and blockchain-based settlement.

How Ripple Mint works

Ripple said many institutional customers require stablecoin infrastructure that integrates directly into their existing financial systems rather than relying on manual dashboard operations. Ripple Mint introduces programmable APIs alongside real-time webhook notifications that allow institutions to automate RLUSD activity.

The platform enables customers to:

  • Mint and redeem RLUSD directly.
  • Bridge RLUSD across supported blockchain networks.
  • Programmatically query balances and transaction status.
  • Track funds throughout the minting and redemption lifecycle.
  • Receive real-time notifications as transactions settle.

According to Ripple, unified reference IDs link fiat and blockchain settlement together, allowing institutions to reconcile transactions more efficiently. The company said the platform is intended to reduce operational complexity while making RLUSD easier to integrate into enterprise payment and treasury systems.

RLUSD continues expanding beyond XRP Ledger

Ripple also confirmed the continued expansion of RLUSD beyond its original deployment on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum. The stablecoin is now being extended across XRPL EVM sidechain, Base, Optimism, Ink and Unichain.

According to Ripple, the expansion is designed to make RLUSD available wherever institutional liquidity and blockchain applications are growing while maintaining close ties to the XRP Ledger ecosystem.

The company also reiterated that XRP and RLUSD are expected to complement one another across payments, liquidity, settlement, collateral management, and tokenized financial applications.

Part of Ripple’s broader RLUSD expansion

Ripple Mint is the latest addition to Ripple’s expanding RLUSD ecosystem.

Earlier this month, more than half of RLUSD’s circulating supply had migrated onto the XRP Ledger, strengthening native liquidity and helping cumulative XRPL trading volume surpass $2.5 billion since the stablecoin’s launch.

In June, Mastercard selected RLUSD and the XRP Ledger as part of its AI-agent payment initiative, enabling autonomous software agents to settle transactions across cards, bank accounts, stablecoins, and blockchain infrastructure.

These developments expand RLUSD’s role across payments, tokenized assets, and enterprise financial infrastructure.

Building for the future of regulated stablecoins

Ripple’s latest launch reflects a broader shift in the stablecoin market, where issuers are increasingly focusing on infrastructure for institutional use cases rather than competing solely on circulating supply.

RLUSD is issued by Standard Custody & Trust Company LLC, a trust company chartered by the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS). According to Ripple, the next phase of stablecoin adoption will depend on infrastructure that is “flexible, programmable, multichain, and regulated.”
