Key Highlights
- The Blocknative team joins Deloitte to accelerate enterprise blockchain adoption in the AI era.
- Current Blocknative APIs and gas networks will remain active only until June 19, 2026.
- The transition focuses on Web3 infrastructure for institutional and AI-driven workflows.
Blocknative, a blockchain infrastructure services provider, today announced that its team has joined Deloitte, highlighting a move toward blockchain technology adoption by enterprises and institutions.
According to the official announcement by Blocknative, the decision to join forces with Deloitte will enable the company to leverage its skills, which will help Deloitte’s clients adopt blockchain technology as AI and agentic workflows become increasingly common.
The firm stated that with AI technologies becoming increasingly integrated into business settings, there are rising concerns about trust, collaboration, verification, and secure transaction management. Blockchain and cryptography technologies are best placed to overcome these problems.
With this, the team will now work towards providing Web3 solutions for institutions operating in the crossroads of AI and blockchain.
“This next chapter allows our team to take our work into a broader context, supporting enterprise and institutional adoption of blockchain in the age of AI and agentic workflows,” Blocknative noted in its announcement.
Blocknative services to shut down in June
In the process of migration, the current APIs of Blocknative will remain operational until June 19, 2026. Following this period, the APIs will no longer be functional, and the gas network will be decommissioned as well. The company recommends that all users and customers using these APIs should start planning for migration immediately.
This marks the end of Blocknative’s independent journey, which lasted for almost a decade of pioneering efforts within the blockchain technology space. The team thanked its clients, protocol teams, wallet developers, and researchers who had shaped its products throughout the years.
For Deloitte, the partnership adds to their expertise in blockchain and digital assets. Deloitte has been very much involved in blockchain advisory for years now, assisting major corporations across the globe to explore the use cases of blockchain in areas such as finance, logistics, digital identities, and tokenization of assets.
Deloitte expands blockchain and AI capabilities
To bring a unique perspective to the sports and blockchain industries, Deloitte has so far teamed up with Astar Network back in 2024. The partnership revolved around Astar’s NFT creation suite for Layer 2 that is compatible with zkEVM and offers greater transaction efficiency in Ethereum.
As part of the partnership, Deloitte created a demo basketball game application using NFT technology where “Emblems” can be obtained by the users in order to make the gaming experience more engaging and rewarding.
Deloitte is also offering blockchain-related services to its clients, including APIs incorporated in its LIFE LOG BOX builder platform. This partnership was consistent with the Sports × Technology Utilization Promotion Project being implemented in Japan.
Broader context
This announcement comes amid an increase in demand for secure infrastructure among businesses that need to support advanced automated processes driven by AI agents that necessitate trust-minimized execution platforms.
Matt Cutler, founder and CEO of Blocknative, noted that even though the independent journey of the company was over, the mission of the company will be pursued at a much greater level with Deloitte’s global platform.
Clients and developers using Blocknative products have been advised to read the entire announcement made by Blocknative on its website and start preparations for migration to other platforms as of June 19.
