The CEO of American tech company Astronomer, Andy Byron, has been the hot topic since Thursday, after a “Kiss Cam” video of him at a Coldplay concert went viral. In the video, Byron was caught sharing an intimate moment with the company’s HR Head, Kristin Cabot.
Following this, crypto prediction platform, Polymarket is seeing an increased number of users betting on Byron’s resignation. At the time of writing, 48% of voters on Polymarket bet that Andy Byron would be out of the tech firm by next Friday. The bet has a trading volume of over $168k at the time of publishing.
Byron joined as the CEO in 2023, after being on the leadership panel for a couple of other tech firms. With no official statement from Byron or the company yet, the question of Bryon continuing his position and how the company plans to navigate a leadership crisis remains unclear.
Both Byron and Cabot are married, and Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan, an educator by profession, has since removed his surname from all her socials. The video has not only met with a lot of backlash, but has also led to speculations regarding Byron’s future in the company.
