A well-known crypto whale, known as “ff.sol”, who made headlines for investing in the Trump-themed memecoin ($TRUMP), has now joined the $PUMP token presale by dropping $1 million USDC into the project.
This whale previously became famous for buying 5.97 million TRUMP tokens at just $0.20 each, spending around $1.19 million. At its highest point, that investment reached a staggering value of $438 million. On-chain data shows that ff.sol later transferred nearly 6 million TRUMP tokens to the TRUMP-USDC market on Meteora, with an estimated value of $1.2 million at the time.
Now, it appears ff.sol is betting big once more. This time on $PUMP, the Pump.fun native token, which recently completed a record-breaking token sale.
Earlier today, Pump.fun launched a massive token sale, offering 12.5% of its 1 trillion token supply at $0.004 per token. Though scheduled to run for 72 hours, the presale sold out in just 12 minutes, raising an eye-popping $600 million.
The whale may have created a new wallet, which received $1 million USDC just a few hours before the Pump.fun token sale began. This suggests the whale was preparing in advance and preferred not to use their original wallet directly for the presale. Now, ff.sol has once again shown interest in the booming memecoin space by participating in the highly anticipated $PUMP sale.
