In a worrying turn of events to the Pi Network community, PiChain Global has flashed a red alert on possible leakage of Pi account passwords. This leak may subject users to malicious attacks using the Pi Browser, where their digital property is in danger of becoming stolen.
Through an official Twitter account, PiChain Global has established that it has been receiving reports of compromised account credentials. The organization has been encouraging users to take urgent security in their Pi Chain Mall (PCM) by email address binding that is done with verified procedure.
To maintain account security, the user is guided to do the following:
- Download the PCM Wallet to a computer at the official site (pcmlabs.io), in the App Store (Apple) or in Google Play.
- As a prospective bound user of the Pi email address, include in the binding the email address into which you will register the PCM Wallet.
- Do not combine the account immediately after the registration. Rather, just fill in a KYC (Know Your Customer) form in the wallet.
- After completing the KYC, get in touch with the following email with the subject title “Bind Email”: prm@pichainmall.com. Add the following contents of your message:
Personal details users need to verify:
- Your username.exe (e.g. @yourusername)
- The ID to which you would like to connect by email
- A photo of your profile within the Pi Network app with your complete username
- A selfie with your ID in full name that should be issued by your government
PiChain Global has discoursed to users that requests will be guaranteed with a timely and confidential process. This is an example of the continued security breaches in the crypto ecosystem. The highly recommendable security measure to be adopted by users is to apply multi-layered security as well as safeguarding against phishing and other malicious attacks.
