Coinbase has expanded its offerings in Germany, adding eight new crypto tokens to its platform. Users can now buy, sell, trade, and store these tokens on Coinbase.com and via its iOS and Android apps.
The new listings are Rocket Pool (RPL), Pudgy Penguins (PENGU), Renzo (REZ), Reserve Rights (RSR), Aethir (ATH), Syrup (SYRUP), Pendle (PENDLE), and Layer3 (L3). Coinbase is making this move to increase its influence in Europe.
After the announcement, the price of Aethir’s token rose by over 12% to $0.052. Rocket Pool increased by 3%, ending the day at $4.71. PENGU and REZ were still slightly up, but Pendle and Syrup dropped by 1.5% and 9%, even though they had performed well lately.
Pendle is still listed among the top 100 cryptos and has a market cap of more than $700 million. Thanks to Coinbase, German users can now easily trade and convert these tokens, ensuring their tokens remain safe and transferable with ease.
This new move follows Coinbase’s previous success with German regulators. Last year, the exchange was the first crypto company to receive a crypto custody license from Germany’s BaFin.
Coinbase also purchased Bux, a brokerage company from Cyprus, in January 2025. Coinbase now holds a MiFID II license thanks to the acquisition, making it more prominent in the EU crypto market.
