Max Hamaha wins WhiteBIT International Crypto Trading Cup

WhiteBIT, a major cryptocurrency exchange of Europe and the official crypto partner of FC Barcelona, has hosted the first ever groundbreaking International Crypto Trading Cup (ICTC 2025) in a live-streamed global tournament. This two-day event was held on 9-10 May 2025.

The International Crypto Trading Cup has turned crypto trading into an exciting sport, similar to E-sports. It has also united eight top crypto traders on stage and engaged 3,000 participants across 33 squads worldwide.

Just in 12 hours, during the main event, the traders have made 269 trades. This initiative has highlighted how the traders handle risky, high-pressure decisions. Ukrainian trader Max Hamaha won the ICTC Champion title after an impressive recovery on the second day. His big bet on Ethereum’s price rising paid off, earning him a profit of 7,488.84 USDT.

Max Hamaha, with 47 trades, beat Dutch trader Merlijn The Trader, who earned 6,745.96 USDT for second place, and Ukrainian Eugene Loza, who earned 4,098.90 USDT for third. Malik Roth Klindt Jensen made the biggest single profit of 12,249 USDT, but someone else lost 10,725 USDT, showing how risky trading can be. Each trader was given 50,000 USDTB (a special trading currency) to use, so they could learn and compete without risking their own money.

The display of Max Hamaha’s win on big screens during FC Barcelona’s El Clásico game, a first for any trading contest, was a major highlight. The ICTC 2025 event has highlighted on different trading approaches, like Mauro Ciami’s bold and major initiatives and Merlijn and Loza’s risky overnight trades.

Host Marc Principato stated that watching these pros trade live on screen was an excellent method for others to learn. WhiteBIT’s founder, Volodymyr Nosov, called the event a major step in making crypto trading popular, developing the networks, and spreading blockchain technology.

With registration for ICTC 2026 now open, WhiteBIT plans to make this a regular global event, mixing finance, tech, and fun to make crypto trading exciting and open to everyone
