Xrp Offers More Utility Than Bitcoin, Says Teucrium Ceo

Vouching for the multiple use cases of XRP, its professional backing, and its bright future, Teucrium’s CEO Sal Gilbertie was all praises for Ripple Inc.’s native token, explaining why his firm chose this “bridge currency” over other cryptocurrencies.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Sal praised Ripple’s team, calling them “really professional people working really hard.”

“We believe in XRP,” he said. “We’re not making a price prediction, but we do believe it’s a coin with the most utility out there.” He compared XRP to Bitcoin, saying while Bitcoin acts as a store of value, XRP brings real-world use cases to the table.

He also noted Ripple’s team reminded him of investment bankers. “They know what they’re doing, and they will make this work,” he added.

Teucrium is a company that specializes in commodity ETFs and has recently displayed increasing attention to digital currencies. This is in line with other traditional finance companies venturing into crypto for its utility as seen in the CEO’s optimism on XRP.

His statement supports Ripple’s ongoing endeavor of using blockchain to solve real world problems particularly in the area of cross-border payments. Teucrium’s choice of XRP as one of the assets to bet on in the future of the crypto market shows that the firm is focused on the practical application of the token.
