Chainlink, a leader of decentralized oracle networks, recently hosted an exclusive, invite-only event in Washington D.C. bringing together U.S representatives to discuss the role of blockchain technology in shaping the future of the financial system.
By hosting this event Chainlink aims to make a better global financial system, by creating the technology that can help both US and the world to arrive at a better version of the financial system.
“We believe that blockchain is a transformative technology that can revolutionize industries, and we’re excited to work with policymakers to explore how it can best be integrated into the U.S. financial landscape,” said Sergey Nazarov, co-founder of Chainlink in his recent tweet on X (formerly Twitter)
Nazarov added that Chainlink is emphasizing how to modernize the US financial system to make it a preferred place to generate digital assets/RWA and make the US financial system a leading force in Web3.
The event centered around a key discussion on how U.S policy could drive innovation in the blockchain space, particularly in the financial sector, and focus on building the foundational infrastructure that creates a more tamper-proof/fair, reliable and transparent financial system is a key step that is still in motion and which the US can become a global leader in.
The event marks a step forward in Chainlink’ ongoing efforts to advocate for smart, futuristic policies that harness the full potential of blockchain technology to drive economic growth and improve global financial infrastructure.
