Richard Heart, founder of popular Ethereum based token Hex, has been issued a red notice by Interpol, in connection with aggravated tax fraud and assaulting a 16-year-old minor.
The red notice against 45-year-old Richard Schueler a.k.a Richard ‘Heart’ has been issued by Interpol at the request of authorities in Finland. The notice doesn’t constitute an international arrest warrant against Heart even as the Finnish law enforcement officers are looking for him for two separate criminal cases.
Earlier, this year, Heart featured in EU Most Wanted List for the same charges. Authorities suspect Heart of committing tax fraud with the time span of 2020-2024 and a remand order against him was first issued on September 13, 2024.
“For the purpose of avoiding tax, Schueler failed to observe a statutory duty pertaining to taxation that is of significance in the assessment of tax. Schueler failed to file business tax returns for the tax multiple years and also failed to complete information on his income on his pre-filled personal tax returns. Schueler received income from his business or income-generating activities that he should have declared to the Tax Administration for the purposes of tax assessment. The total amount of tax avoided is counted in hundreds of millions of euros,” read the tax fraud charge against Heart for EU Most Wanted List.
In a separate case, Heart is wanted by authorities for assaulting a minor in Finland. Authorities have not yet identified the gender of the victim minor.
“Schueler physically assaulted a 16-year-old victim by grabbing their hair, dragging them into the stairwell and knocking them to the ground. While the victim was lying on their back on the floor, Schueler punched them 4 – 5 times in the face, nose, eyes and head area,” read the charges against Heart.
