Dia Pioneers Modular Oracles With Lasernet Testnet Launch

DIA has unveiled Lasernet, the world’s first Layer-2 rollup designed specifically for Oracle infrastructure, on testnet. This groundbreaking development combines trustless execution and scalability to meet the increasing demand for decentralized, permissionless, and reliable data delivery in blockchain applications.

Key Features of Lasernet

Lasernet introduces pull and push-based oracles for developers to test on Ethereum Sepolia, ahead of its mainnet release scheduled for Q1 2025. Built to address the limitations of traditional Oracle solutions, Lasernet allows for scalable, cost-efficient, and trustless on-chain computation while maintaining Ethereum’s robust security.

The innovative architecture is powered by Lumina, DIA’s new modular Oracle stack. Lumina leverages cutting-edge blockchain technologies through partnerships with leading Web3 projects:

  • Optimism’s OP Stack: Ensures enterprise-grade scalability and on-chain data verification.
  • Conduit: Simplifies rollup deployment, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Hyperlane: Enables seamless interoperability across both EVM and non-EVM blockchains.
  • Celestia: Boosts scalability with its data availability layer, supporting high-volume data sourcing and storage.

Experts across the Web3 space hailed the innovation. Fahim Sachedina of Optimism remarked, “DIA’s Lasernet rollup, powered by the OP Stack, represents an important advancement in decentralized oracle infrastructure.”

Similarly, Andrew Huang of Conduit noted, “DIA’s Lasernet rollup is a powerful demonstration of how Conduit’s technology can simplify complex use cases such as oracles.”

The testnet marks the first step toward a fully permissionless network. Developers will be able to deploy oracles independently by 2025, fostering a decentralized data ecosystem. DIA’s vision is to create an open data layer for Web3, enabling transparent, secure, and modular Oracle solutions.
