MicroVisionChain (MVC), a high-performance Bitcoin layer 2 chain, celebrated its first anniversary since launching its mainnet on January 26, 2023.

According to the report, the purely community-driven project has achieved several milestones in the past year, including launching a UTXO layer 1 Turing complete smart contract, a revolutionary Bitcoin Virtual Machine, and ultra-low $0.01 gas fees.

MVC’s native token SPACE is now a top 3 PoW coin by hash rate using the same SHA256d algorithm as Bitcoin.

Other accomplishments include multiple exchange listings, successful audits, and building a thriving ecosystem of DEXs, wallets, explorers, and more through its DAO. MVC aims to act as a Bitcoin sidechain with 1:1 satoshi mapping and lightning-fast 10,000+ TPS thanks to its zero-confirmation technology.

As MVC enters its second year, the team will focus on launching a Builder Grant Program to further expand the ecosystem.
