World Money has begun rolling out its self-custodial financial app across more than 150 countries, bringing stablecoin balances, digital-asset transfers, rewards, trading and investment tools into a single platform. Features and eligibility vary by country, according to the company.
In an X post on September 21, World Money said the app allows users to hold U.S. dollar and other supported local currency stablecoins, send and receive digital assets across borders, earn rewards, invest, and access additional services.
The company said digital asset transfers are designed to work as simply as sending a text message.
Stablecoin balances and portfolio tools
The app’s home screen displays users’ stablecoin balances, with support for eight currencies. Where available, users can direct funds into a personal virtual account powered by Bridge.
The application also includes portfolio tracking, detailed transaction history, and price alerts.
An Earn section allows users to deposit eligible assets, including Worldcoin (WLD) and stablecoins, into programs powered by Morpho for the accrual of rewards. A Trade section enables buying and selling of assets through exchanges, covering real-world assets such as gold as well as established tokens.
The app also provides access to Mini Apps, including Kalshi, Credit, and Morpho, giving users access to additional financial services from within the platform.
Stripe integration supports US funding
World Money has integrated with Stripe to streamline the process of adding funds. The feature is initially available in the United States.
Users can convert everyday funds into stablecoins using Apple Pay, with the converted amounts typically appearing in the account within minutes. Stripe serves as the default method for adding funds. The company noted that the arrangement forms part of a broader partnership involving the movement of assets into and out of the World Money platform.
World Money also incorporates World ID, which verifies that an account belongs to a unique human through verification at an Orb. According to the company, verification can provide access to additional features, including higher rewards in the Earn section and priority access to new services.
Stablecoins expand across financial applications
The World Money rollout comes as stablecoins are increasingly being integrated into payment and financial applications.
On July 30, Dune, an on-chain analytics platform, became one of the first companies in the European Union to accept stablecoin payments through Stripe. The arrangement allows enterprise customers to purchase data products and APIs using digital dollars.
The company said the approach reduces the need for foreign exchange conversions and traditional wire transfers, resulting in on-chain payments that include a full audit trail.
The developments point to a broader expansion of stablecoins beyond trading into payments, account funding, and financial applications. However, access to individual services remains dependent on users’ jurisdictions and the regulatory requirements applicable to each product.
