Friend.tech has added another security feature to its platform, which now enables users to protect their accounts using a 2FA password.
The decentralized social application has introduced the 2FA feature to be more cautious after its users lost over 234 ETH in SIM swap attacks last week. Several users shared that their Friend.tech account was compromised and a hacker robbed thousands of dollars in ETH.
Although the team has warned users to use 2FA with care, it cannot be reset from the platform or by the team. This feature is added with support from the Privy team, a Web3 security platform.
Friend.tech also introduced a feature last week enabling users to add or remove log-in methods for their users, which was a major loophole.
The developers of the novel DeSo application have made major changes to the application since last month by integrating a number of features regarding account security and user experience.
