The banking giant HSBC has partnered with blockchain-based payments processor FCF Pay in a deal allowing HSBC customers to settle their mortgage bills and loans using cryptocurrencies.
The supported cryptocurrencies include Bitcoin (BTC), Ripple (XRP), Shiba Inu (SHIB), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), and many more.
The process is straightforward: first, select the recipient for crypto payment, and second, provide payment information. Payments are processed within 2 days, with FCF Pay charging a 2% fee on the bill plus an additional $3.
This service is only accessible to US residents, and they will extend it to other places in the future.
