The latest findings uncover that Securitize, a leader in Digital Asset Securities, is acquiring Onramp Invest, an advanced Digital Asset Wealth Management firm, integrating private investments onto the blockchain.
The provided information highlights that Securitize currently employs a team of 150 members, and approximately 18 OnRamp employees will join Securitize’s team in the near future.
Amid a broader slowdown in deal-making, Onramp’s COO Ashton Chaffee highlights the significance of the deal which stems from a pre-existing business relationship and the challenges posed by the current crypto fundraising landscape.
On the other hand, Securitize collaborates with prominent investment entities such as Hamilton Lane and KKR to tokenize private investment. Prior to Onramp Invest’s acquisition, in September 2022, Secrutize also acquired KKR, a private equity firm, to tokenize an alternative investment fund.
As per the provided information, Onramp Invest is bolstered by essential backers in the form of Coinbase Ventures and Blockchain Capital. Moreover, the firm has reportedly secured over $120 million in capital prior to this particular deal.Â
