Early this year, Kennedy attended the Bitcoin Conference in Miami and stated that “I am not an investor, and I am not here to give investment advice.“

It was during this conference that he announced that he’ll accept campaign donations in Bitcoin for his 2024 Presidential candidacy.

Kennedy was previously not a holder of any cryptocurrency, due to which the crypto community showered criticism on his claims.

After being criticized at the Miami conference, Kennedy Jr. invested in Bitcoin. This was the first time he became a player in the crypto world.

On 26th July in Twitter Space Interview he quoted;

“Right after that Bitcoin conference I got a big check and I said, okay, you know, I’m going to put my money where my mouth is and so I bought two Bitcoin for every one of my seven children.”

Kennedy has six biological children from previous marriages and one stepdaughter from his recent marriage with actress Cheryl Hines.

As per previous reports, Kennedy Jr. made investments in bitcoin worth $100,001- $250,000, the actual investment is unknown as only the range was disclosed.

The 14 Bitcoins that Kenndey Purchased for his children are currently worth $413,000 when the price of 1 BTC is accounted at $29,500. Each of his kids received 2 BTC, which amounts $59,000 per child.

Also, in the interview he gave big thanks to all the crypto fans who supported him. “I’m very happy for the support I’ve gotten from the Bitcoin community,” Kennedy said.
