Key Highlights
- Uniswap will deploy its v4 AMM infrastructure on Arc when Circle’s blockchain launches its mainnet in September 2026.
- The deployment will give Arc developers access to Uniswap liquidity pools and customizable v4 hooks.
- Arc uses USDC as its gas token and is designed for deterministic finality in under one second.
Uniswap is set to deploy its decentralized exchange infrastructure on Arc, the blockchain developed by Circle, when the network launches its mainnet in September.
According to an official announcement published on August 17, 2026, the deployment will bring Uniswap’s automated market maker (AMM) infrastructure to Arc, giving developers access to liquidity pools and Uniswap v4 functionality on the new network.
The announcement adds another DeFi component to Arc as Circle prepares the network for its mainnet launch.
Uniswap brings v4 infrastructure to Arc
The Arc deployment will use Uniswap v4, the latest version of the decentralized exchange protocol.
Uniswap v4 allows developers to use customizable “hooks” that can modify how liquidity pools behave, including during swaps, liquidity changes and fee collection.
Arc said more than 60,000 Uniswap v4 hooks have already been deployed across other networks.
The deployment therefore gives developers building on Arc access to an existing decentralized exchange framework rather than requiring them to create a separate liquidity layer from scratch.
Arc’s blockchain design targets stablecoin activity
The Uniswap deployment also brings the protocol to a blockchain with a different infrastructure model from many existing DeFi networks.
Arc uses USDC as its gas token, meaning transaction fees are paid in the stablecoin rather than through a separate volatile network token.
The network is also designed around deterministic finality in under one second, according to Arc.
These features are part of Arc’s underlying architecture and are not specific to Uniswap, but they will apply to Uniswap pools operating on the network.
DeFi use cases extend beyond swaps
Uniswap’s role on Arc is not limited to token swaps.
Arc said its liquidity infrastructure could support applications involving lending and borrowing, token issuance, liquidity-provider strategies, yield products, structured products, and derivatives.
Liquid markets can be important for these applications because they provide pricing and liquidity for assets used as collateral or underlying instruments.
However, these are potential applications described by Arc. The deployment itself does not confirm that specific lending, derivatives or structured-product platforms will launch on the network.
Arc had already outlined confidential transactions
The Uniswap announcement follows Circle’s earlier work on Arc’s institutional infrastructure.
In June 2026, Circle outlined an opt-in confidentiality system for Arc designed for institutional workflows such as payroll, treasury management and trading.
The system was designed to keep transaction information private from the general public while allowing authorized compliance teams and auditors to access relevant information.
That earlier development highlighted Arc’s focus on institutional financial applications, while the planned Uniswap deployment adds a decentralized liquidity component to the network.
Uniswap’s expansion through wallet integration
Uniswap has separately expanded access to its liquidity through integrations with other crypto applications.
In March 2026, MetaMask integrated Uniswap’s routing infrastructure through an API, allowing users of the self-custody wallet to access Uniswap liquidity directly through the wallet’s interface.
The MetaMask integration and Arc deployment involve different infrastructure layers, but both show Uniswap extending its liquidity and routing technology beyond its own standalone interface.
Connects Uniswap to Circle’s stablecoin infrastructure
Arc is being developed around Circle’s stablecoin infrastructure, including USDC and the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP).
CCTP allows native USDC to move between supported blockchains without relying on wrapped versions of the asset.
For developers, this means Uniswap pools on Arc can operate within an environment designed around stablecoin settlement and cross-chain USDC transfers.
Arc has also highlighted potential liquidity involving assets such as USDC and EURC.
Mainnet launch will put the integration to the test
Arc is currently preparing for its planned September 2026 mainnet launch.
Uniswap’s deployment is expected to become available alongside the network’s mainnet, giving developers access to its AMM infrastructure from the beginning of the production network.
The more important question after launch will be whether developers and users actually build liquidity and trading activity around those pools.
For now, the announcement establishes Uniswap as part of Arc’s planned DeFi infrastructure, while Arc’s earlier privacy work and Circle’s stablecoin-based design indicate a broader focus on blockchain infrastructure for both decentralized and institutional financial applications.
