Luxury Fashion Brand Gucci collaborated with the popular skateboarding shoe company Vans to create a virtual world on Roblox.
The event, which combines ‘Gucci Town’ and ‘Vans World,’ will put community members on a hunt to gather fabrics and patterns via shoe-box type portals while moving through two worlds.
The initiative will run from 20 April to May 13, and once all of the swatches have been collected, special things may be worn by the Roblox avatars, such as a shoe accessory or a skateboard bag.
For the first time, two global fashion brands of this magnitude have partnered on the platform to link their separate worlds.
Gucci Town, which opened in May 2022, represents a dynamic area for connecting through shared creative activities. It has welcomed takeovers by Miley Cyrus and Gucci Flora Gorgeous Jasmine campaign and Jack Grealish.
Similarly, Vans World debuted in September 2021 to combine skating, fashion, and community in the Roblox experience. The immersive experience includes skateboarding, shopping, and customizing avatars with Vans.
The release follows Gucci Vault’s ‘Continuum’ Vans collaboration, in which the two collaborated to reinterpret three historic Vans designs (the OG Old Skool, OG Mule, and OG Slip-On hues).
