The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) seized a number of NFTs from Horror (HZ) alias Chase Senecal, a phishing scammer. The seized BAYC NFT #9658 and Doodle #3114, are worth over $100,000. Reportedly, the seizure was based on an investigation done by crypto sleuth ZachXBT.

The FBI seized an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Watch worth $41,000.00 and 86.5 ETH held in a wallet from Chase Senecal along with the NFTs. ZachXBT has identified more than 600 compromised Discord servers and multiple hacked NFT Twitter accounts since December 2021, which lost millions of dollars via scams.

Last October, French authorities charged five people in Paris for theft of BAYC NFTs among other assets via phishing websites based on information from ZachXBT who did a detailed thread on the “Scammers in Paris.”
