The Founder and General Partner of crypto investment firm, 1confirmation Nick Tomaino bought CryptoPunk #4156 for a whopping $3.3 Million. Note that the NFT was previously sold for over $10 Million.
In a twitter thread, he swore by the CryptoPunks also calling them the catalysts for the NFT movement.
He stated that CryptoPunk #4156 has one of the strongest brands in crypto because of ‘@punk4156’ and the community of artists that have created works around the ape. For the uninitiated, ‘@punk4156’ is the developer of NounsDAO.
He further tweeted, “Just like Bitcoin and Ethereum, Punks has emerged as its own digital nation state where people are aligned by shared beliefs and economic incentives rather than physical location”.
He expressed his belief in the future of NFTs calling their emergence as a potent global asset class.
