Bayc'S Yuga Labs Warns Of Targeted Attack On Nft Communities

The home of the wildly profitable Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFTs, Yuga Labs, has warned about a “persistent threat group” that may soon launch a “coordinated attack” targeting multiple NFT communities.

Yuga Labs, known not only for creating BAYC NFTs but also for its spinoff Kennel Club (BAKC) and Mutant Ape (MAYC), stated that its security team has been tracking a threat group targeting the NFT community through compromised social media accounts.

Is this the first time Yuga Labs has issued such a warning on its Twitter social media accounts? Obviously not.

Wylie Aronow aka Gordon Goner, co-founder of Yuga Labs and BAYC, warned investors in June about potential attacks on Yuga Labs‘ social media accounts.

Such social network threats are known to compromise user credentials, profile users, and spread malware, among many other things.

Yuga Labs’ new warning follows the headlines made by the popular NFT whitelisting platform Premint after it was hacked over the weekend, with users losing $375k in NFTs.
