The revolutionary Otherside Metaverse from the BAYC team is gearing up to conduct tests of its much-awaited gameplay ‘First Trip’.
The premiere date of “First Trip” to the Otherside was ultimately revealed by the Otherside on June 28. Only Otherdeed owners are permitted to play the game demo, which is scheduled for release on July 16.
In May, Otherside gave a sneak peek of the gameplay update done in collaboration with metaverse technology firm Improbable.
Improbable is developing Otherside on the M² network, creating an open metaverse on which the community can build and own unique characters and experiences.
The Otherside metaverse disclosed that it would carry out two load tests ahead of the impending First Trip tech demo. The second test will be conducted on July 9 after the first one on July 6.
To ensure the best tech demo experience, these tests will assist identify any potential breaking points prior to the First Trip on July 16.
The Otherside metaverse testing and the First Trip will take place only on desktop and laptop devices. Prior to the event, the team will tweet the website link where the load test will take place.
The user must have a wallet with at least 1 Otherdeed NFT to take part in either of these tokengated load testings. The test is supposed to take place at 12 PM ET.
The load test will begin with 3,000 players and will expand by 1,000 players every 2-3 minutes. Anyone who does not get in because the capacity for that 2-3 minute block has been achieved will be able to retry in the next block.
In North America and Europe, where Improbable’s M2 has already enabled streaming clients, players will be able to play load testing and First Trip.
To ensure that all Voyagers can experience the First Trip, a private live stream of the tech demo will be provided for individuals in non-supported regions.
The test attendees will be eligible for all of the First Trip perks. M2 is currently developing regional streaming alternatives and apps to ensure that Voyagers in different nations and platforms are equally supported.

The testing of the Otherside gaming will provide holders of Otherdeed a glimpse of what the BAYC metaverse will be like, injecting some vigor into the current crypto winter.
