‘Crypto Queen’ Ruja Ignatova Gets Added on Europe’s Most Wanted List

The founder of OneCoin, popularly known as the ‘Crypto Queen’, Dr. Ruja Ignatova is now one of the most wanted criminals in Europe too. She is now added to the list of Europe’s most wanted criminals for the OneCoin fraud.

Ignatova disappeared after allegedly fleecing investors out of as much as $5 billion in 2017. She promised OneCoin investors, “We are the Bitcoin killer. We’re faster, safer and cheaper,” but the big promises were nothing but a lie as Ignatova made a nice life with the money of the investors. She was last seen at Athens airport.

Europol, the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation, has offered a reward of 5,000 Euros for information leading to the arrest of Ignatova on fraud charges for soliciting investments in OneCoin, a “worthless money.” The interpol has issued a red notice for Ruja Ignatova.

Konstantin Ignatova, the brother of Ruja Ignatova, was also a part of the OneCoin business. After his sister’s clueless disappearance during October 2017, he went on to become the face of the dubious cryptocurrency.

He was later arrested at the Los Angeles Airport in March 2019 and he revealed during his testimony in court that Ruja had taken 500 million euros from the fraud herself. Since then he has been operating with the FBI to locate his sister.

Europol stated that OneCoin has caused billions of dollars in damages around the world, adding that Ignatova and her associates may be armed and that anyone ready to assist the authorities should exercise great caution.
