The technical part of Tech Mahindra LTD, Makers Lab developed a ‘Meta Village’ inspired by Pargaon located in Maharashtra, India. This is the first time a village from India got its digital twin to gamify learning.
According to the release, the ‘Make in India’ platform will make computer learning and programming more interesting by integrating it on the Roblox platform to gamify boring technical learning lessons. The initiative will help to deliver technical education at the grassroots level.
The new launch will allow students to play games on Roblox to learn the basic computer skills and programming in Bharat MarkUp Language (BHAML).
Students can attain training sessions through a classroom in the Roblox Pargaon Meta Village. Also with the technical facilities, they will be able to access online or offline lectures in Meta village.
BHAML is the coding platform developed by Maker Lab that allows people to code in their native language. The launch is a part of Tech Mahindra’s initiative to make people in rural areas aware of technical skills and skill development.
Makers Lab already teaches vital educational skills to youngsters, including fundamental computer skills and BHAML.
