A web3 initiative by TIME, TIMEPieces has collaborated with Timbaland and named him TimePieces’s second artist in residence. The partnership will result in TIMEPieces’ first ever music NFT collection.
Timbaland and his platform Beatclub will provide an original beat for the collection which will be translated into visual art prepared by 14 artists.

Timbaland is a Grammy award-winning producer and the founder of Beatclub, a global marketplace for music makers. The collection will have a single beat and the 14 selected artists will bring their unique and diverse perspectives to the project.

“I am excited to collaborate with TIMEPieces and so many distinct visual artists to bring more exposure to the power of creativity with music in NFTs, and to include Beatclub in the process” said Timbaland.
The limited-edition drop will feature a total of 252 pieces, with each one priced at 0.2 ETH plus gas. The collection will be released at the end of April.
Each minted NFT will contain a pack of 10 surprise sounds from Beatclub. All NFT buyers will be able to participate in a contest to create their own sounds using the Beatclub custom soundpack.
The winner of the contest will receive a merch pack and a membership to Beatclub, including access to exclusive placement opportunities with the world’s leading artists and brands.
