In Brief:
- Solo Music in partnership with the Country Music Association released the NFT collection.
- This NFT collection features artwork surrounding the iconic CMA Awards Trophy
- The aim is to attract new NFT buyers to the crypto space.
Nashville, Tennessee- based Solo Music, announced an exclusive collaboration with the Country Music Association (CMA) for an NFT collection celebrating the 55th Annual CMA awards.
The collection marked its first-ever NFT drop from a Country Music award show. The launch is scheduled for Friday, November 12, and features artwork surrounding the iconic CMA Awards trophy. The aim is to target new NFT buyers in the space.
Buying the CMA NFT will not only consist of cool artworks and the ownership that comes with it, but also it will give an opportunity to those who invest in the new venture to become the first members of the association’s brand new digital community. Also, those community members will have exclusive rights to access special ticket deals for upcoming CMA events. In addition to that, they can also access unique content only available to those who buy in. This one-of-a-kind NFT collection will be available in limited quantities.
All of these are only the perks of collecting these NFTs. With that, NFT collectors will also get the knowledge that their money is going to a good cause. This is because net proceeds from this drop will benefit the CMA foundation – the philanthropic arm of CMA, which works to provide equitable access to music education and create an impact for students and teachers across the United States.
This new series of NFTs will be released with a $25 price tag which can be purchased using a standard bank credit or debit card. Solo music is offering a series of 1,000 new NFTs portraying a 3-D representation of the CMA Awards trophy. The CMA Foundation will honor 30 music educators from across the US. The teachers, from grades Kindergarten through 12, will receive the foundation’s 2020 Music Teachers of Excellence award.
Barran Solomon, CEO of Solo Music, stated that we want to make the process of learning about NFTs simple and make the checkout process as easy as possible.
Tiffany Kerns, CMA foundation executive director, appreciated the efforts of these music educators and mentors saying that these educators play an important part in achieving the CMA Foundation’s mission of creating, and spotlight on these educators who so often shine the light on others.
The music industry is embracing NFT culture with popular music artists launching their NFT collectibles. Last month, renowned music producer Timbaland released NFT collectibles combining his upcoming songs into NFT chunks.
