Mike Winkelmann, the person behind the pseudonym ‘Beeple’ and famous digital artist will present 3D real-life sculpture and its corresponding NFT “Human One” for auction at Christie’s 21st Century Evening Sale on 9 November.  The estimated value could be around $15 million.

Human One is kinetic video sculpture with four video screens (16K resolution), polished aluminum metal, mahogany wood frame, dual media servers; endless video with corresponding dynamic NFT. 87 x 48 x 48 in.

Beeple had surprised everyone in the past when his digital artwork or NFT, Everyday: The First 5000 Days Sold for $69.5 million at Christie’s.

Merge of Conventional and Modern Digital Art

The art is unique in its own space as it is a composition of Modern digital art and ordinary art.

As per the details from a relied source, The art reflects a virtual astronaut in mirrored helmet and silver space suit covered in a 7-foot-tall and white mahogany column LED display. The monolith-pillar like a box revolves around the center, so it depicts the walk of an astronaut through sci-fi technology for viewers.

The artist has also planned to change these backdrops often in a day and also will update this reflection throughout his career.

“It has such a gravitas, and it sucks you in,” said Noah Davis, Christie’s head of digital art and online sales.

Currently, the NFTs market is in demand as a large portion of crypto-verse is inclined towards NFTs. In the third quarter of the current year, the NFT market generated a $10.7 billion volume. To connect with their collectors, NFT artists have started to create real-life material art rather than keeping them in just digital art. Recently, Sotheby’s sold a  $2.8 million acrylic box by digital artist FEWOCiOUS.

To make NFTs valuable for traditional collectors, many artists are preparing a “Phygital” artwork, which contains both physical and digital elements.

“If you look at a painting, it’s a statement frozen in time—the artist is done,” Mike Winkelmann said, adding that the owner of this piece “won’t really know what they’re getting because I’ll keep changing it.”
