Content aggregator Reddit, one of the biggest social media websites, reportedly plans to launch an “NFT-backed digital goods” trading platform soon. For that purpose, it is hiring backend engineers.
An ad posted on Greenhouse, a popular recruitment site, Reddit appears to be hiring a senior backend engineer to design and develop backend services for a large-scale NFT trading platform.
In the post, it notes that many believe NFTs will have a major role for creators and communities in the future. Therefore, it advertises that it is seeking engineers and leaders to assist them in seeding the NFT team.
As stated in the job posting, the senior backend engineer will, “design, build and ship backend services for millions of users to create, buy, sell and use NFT-backed digital goods.”
This is not the first time when Reddit made a foray into the NFT market, earlier in June this year Reddit had sold three unique CryptoSnoos which was based on Ethereum blockchain.
