Epic Chain’s native token, EPIC, has fallen approximately 15% within 24 hours after Binance announced it would remove the asset from its spot trading platform.
The move, detailed in an official notice published on October 14, 2026, also covers QuickSwap’s QUICK token. Both tokens had previously carried Binance’s Monitoring Tag, a designation the exchange applies to assets it views as carrying elevated risk or volatility relative to other listings.
The announcement triggered immediate selling pressure as traders reacted to the loss of liquidity on the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by volume.
EPIC briefly dropped more than 8% within minutes of the notice going live before the decline extended further over the course of the day. Similar patterns have appeared after earlier Binance delistings, where affected tokens often see reduced trading activity once major exchange support ends.
At the time of publishing, EPIC was trading at $0.408, down 15% in the past 24 hours, as per CoinGecko data.
Delisting Timeline and Affected Services
According to the Binance announcement, spot trading for all EPIC and QUICK pairs will cease at 03:00 UTC on October 28, 2026. Open orders will be canceled at that time, and Trading Bots services tied to the pairs will also end. The exchange has set a staggered schedule for related products to give users time to manage positions.
Margin borrowing for both tokens will be suspended and the tokens removed from Buy & Sell Crypto services on October 15. Futures contracts will see no new positions allowed from 08:30 UTC on October 20, with existing positions automatically settled at 09:00 UTC the same day.
Spot Copy Trading portfolios involving the tokens will be delisted on October 21, with remaining assets force-sold at market price where possible. Simple Earn positions will be redeemed and transferred to Spot accounts around the same date. Deposits of EPIC and QUICK will stop being credited after October 29, while withdrawals remain available until December 28. After that date, Binance may convert any leftover balances into stablecoins, though the exchange has stated that such conversion is not guaranteed.
Binance said the decision followed its regular review process, which weighs factors including trading volume and liquidity, development activity, team commitment, network stability, community engagement, and responsiveness to due-diligence requests. The exchange did not cite a single specific trigger in the public notice. Holders of either token are advised to review the full schedule and close any leveraged or automated positions before the relevant cutoffs to avoid automatic settlement.
Project Background and Broader Context
Epic Chain, previously known as Ethernity Chain, rebranded and completed a 1:1 token migration from ERN to EPIC earlier in 2025. The project positions itself as infrastructure focused on real-world assets and entertainment use cases, with a particular emphasis on crypto-based travel booking that offers discounts on hotels and flights along with cashback paid in XRP. Its circulating and maximum supply stands at 33.6 million tokens.
The delisting arrives amid a series of similar actions by Binance. Earlier in October the exchange outlined service restrictions and token removals for Brazilian users as part of local entity migration and new transfer-reporting rules, details of which appear in reporting on those Binance service changes. Past quarterly reviews have also led to the removal of multiple altcoins from spot markets, often followed by short-term price declines as liquidity shifts to smaller venues. Users can consult prior coverage of those Binance delisting rounds for patterns in how such events have unfolded.
QUICK, the governance and utility token of the Polygon-based decentralized exchange QuickSwap, faces the identical timeline. Both assets remain tradeable on other platforms for now, though overall liquidity is expected to thin once Binance support ends.
