Binance is exiting the mining pool business. The exchange will close Binance Pool on November 10, 2026, taking down Cloud Mining, Pool Savings, and Transaction Accelerator with it. Miners still pointing their machines at Binance will need to switch to another pool before the cutoff, or their work will go unpaid.
The exchange gave little detail on why. In its closure notice dated October 13, Binance said only that the move came out of a routine review of its product lineup. Supporting tools such as Telegram hashrate alerts, email updates, and the pool’s application programming interface (API), which lets miners pull pool data into their own software, are also being retired.
What Binance Pool Did
A mining pool lets many miners combine their hashrate, the raw computing power used to validate transactions on a proof-of-work (PoW) network such as Bitcoin. Pooling that power means blocks are found more often, and payouts are split according to how much each miner contributed. For smaller operators, it turns an irregular income into a steadier one.
Binance Pool also served users who never owned a mining rig. Its Cloud Mining product let customers buy hashrate on the platform and collect rewards without running hardware, while Transaction Accelerator helped users push stuck Bitcoin transactions through faster.
Miners Have Until 07:00 UTC on November 10
Binance will start cutting off miners at 07:00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) on November 10. From that moment, its Stratum addresses, the connection points mining rigs use to talk to a pool, will stop working.
Any hashrate sent after the cutoff will earn nothing. Work submitted before it will still count toward a final payout calculated under the pool’s existing rules, and Binance expects the service to run normally until then.
Users with money parked in Pool Savings have been asked to pull it out before the shutdown. Binance also wants account holders to clear any pending identity checks, known as Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, by 23:59 UTC on November 10, so leftover balances can be paid out without delay.
Final Payouts Will Not Be Automatic
Remaining rewards and balances will be settled after the closure, but Binance has made clear that each payout depends on the user’s account standing and on passing its compliance review. The final say on eligibility rests with the Binance Mining Pool Product Terms.
Miners who want a record of their earnings should save it soon. Binance Pool will vanish from the exchange’s homepage on November 10, and its dashboard will stay open in read-only mode only until 07:00 UTC on November 24. After that, the pages go offline for good.
Binance has not said how much of Bitcoin’s total hashrate currently flows through its pool, which makes it hard to judge how much computing power will shift to rival pools next month.
Binance Was Already Scaling Back Mining
The global shutdown follows a narrower retreat earlier this month. On October 9, The Crypto Times reported that Binance would block Brazilian users from Binance Pool and seven other products from October 27 as it moves local customers to Brazilian entities and adapts to new transfer reporting rules.
Binance is not the only large firm stepping away from pool operations this year. SBI Crypto, the mining arm of Japan’s SBI Holdings, closed its Bitcoin pool on July 31, 2026, after roughly five years, steering its customers toward Braiins, Luxor and NeoPool.
