Ripple, a blockchain solution provider, and Brevan Howard, a global alternative investment manager, announced on October 6 that they are expanding their existing relationship. Under the terms of the agreement, Ripple Prime will provide multi-asset prime brokerage, clearing and financing services to funds managed by Brevan Howard.
According to the official release, Brevan Howard will gain access to prime services covering multiple asset classes and products through Ripple Prime’s platform. The arrangement builds on prior involvement by funds managed by affiliates of Brevan Howard, which participated in Ripple’s $500 million strategic investment completed in 2025.
The agreement centers on the delivery of prime brokerage, clearing and financing functions across traditional and digital assets. The announcement also claims that Ripple Prime’s platform is structured to support capital efficiency and operational processes within a regulated framework. No additional financial terms or timelines beyond the provision of these services were disclosed in the announcement.
Ripple Prime completes $275 Million note placement after earlier debt facility
In a separate development in financing, Ripple Prime closed an upsized $275 million private placement of senior unsecured notes on August 18, 2026. The notes received a BBB investment-grade rating from KBRA. Proceeds will support working capital and the expansion of multi-asset clearing, financing, and prime brokerage services in the United States. The offering drew institutional investors and was increased from its original size. Funds will also support hiring and technology development.
Earlier, on May 11, Ripple Prime secured a $200 million debt facility from funds managed by Neuberger Specialty Finance. The facility provides access to up to $200 million, with most of the capital designated to finance customer positions and increase lending capacity for clients trading both digital and traditional assets.

On September 29, Ripple, Women’s World Banking, and Pula announced a pilot project titled Harnessing Technology for Women’s Financial Resilience in Uganda. The initiative aims to deliver parametric insurance to approximately 3,000 smallholder farmers in Uganda’s refugee and host communities, with a focus on women.
Parametric insurance design is supplied by Pula, while settlement technology is provided by Ripple. Payouts are triggered automatically when predefined conditions occur, such as drought, crop loss, or a health emergency. Beneficiaries receive funds in Ugandan shillings through mobile money channels without the need to file claims or obtain manual approval.
Separately, also on September 29, Brazilian securities infrastructure provider CSD BR announced a project with Ripple that uses the XRP Ledger to create blockchain-based records of investment fund shares issued by BTG Pactual. CSD BR continues to maintain the official registration, custody, and settlement records under Brazil’s existing securities framework.
The XRP Ledger serves as an additional layer that allows authorized participants to view and audit ownership information in near real time. The project is designed to operate alongside regulated systems without replacing the legal and operational structures that currently determine ownership and settlement.
No further details on the scale of assets under the new prime brokerage arrangement, specific products included, or projected volumes were provided in the October 6 statement.
