Key Highlights

  • Dinari plans to integrate its tokenized U.S. equities with the Sei blockchain.
  • The offering will include tokenized shares representing companies across the S&P 500.
  • Eligible U.S. investors will be able to access the assets through supported self-custody wallets.

Dinari is expanding its tokenized equity infrastructure to the Sei blockchain, adding another network through which eligible U.S. investors can access its dShares, tokenized representations of U.S. stocks.

Dinari and Sei announced the integration on September 25, with Sei saying Dinari’s offering will include companies across the S&P 500.

The development expands the distribution of Dinari’s existing dShares rather than introducing a new S&P 500 tokenization product. Dinari had already made the full index available through its platform as part of its broader tokenized equity offering.

Dinari plans S&P 500 dShares on Sei

Dinari’s dShares represent tokenized versions of U.S. stocks and ETFs. Through the planned Sei integration, eligible users will be able to access shares representing companies included in the S&P 500.

Sei said the assets will be available through supported self-custody wallets and can be traded using USDC once the integration is live.

The announcement did not specify when the dShares will become available on Sei.

How Dinari’s tokenized shares work

Dinari says its dShares are backed by corresponding U.S. securities held with regulated custodians.

The structure is intended to provide blockchain-based access to traditional securities while maintaining a link to the underlying assets. According to Dinari, holders can receive benefits associated with the underlying securities, including dividends and corporate actions, subject to the terms of each product.

In August, Dinari expanded its offering to 724 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs, including all companies in the S&P 500. The products were made available to eligible U.S. investors through supported self-custody wallets and could be funded using USDC.

Sei adds another distribution network

The Sei integration adds another blockchain to Dinari’s existing multichain infrastructure.

Dinari has previously said its dShares were available on networks including Ethereum, Avalanche, Arbitrum and Base, with additional chain integrations planned.

The company has therefore been expanding the number of blockchain environments through which its tokenized securities can be accessed, rather than limiting the products to a single network.

For Sei, the integration adds tokenized U.S. equities to its growing range of financial and trading-related applications.

USDC supports funding and settlement

USDC is used as the funding and settlement asset for Dinari’s tokenized equity products.

Under the company’s existing model, eligible users can purchase dShares using USDC through supported wallets. This allows users to move between stablecoin balances and tokenized securities within a blockchain-based environment.

Access remains subject to investor eligibility and applicable regulatory requirements.

Tokenized equities continue to expand across blockchains

The Sei integration comes as tokenized stocks and ETFs are being introduced across an increasing number of blockchain networks.

Dinari’s August expansion brought hundreds of additional securities to its platform, while other tokenization companies are developing separate systems for representing traditional financial assets onchain.

The broader sector is now moving beyond simply putting stock representations on blockchains, with companies exploring applications involving trading, settlement, portfolio management and DeFi.

For Dinari, the next step is the actual deployment of its dShares on Sei. Until that rollout is completed, the September 25 announcement represents a planned expansion rather than a live launch on the network.
