According to DeFiLlama data, Arbitrum ranked second with $47.2 billion. Solana followed with $45.9 billion, Lighter with $45.6 billion, Ethereum mainnet with $44.9 billion, and edgeX with $42.2 billion.
Detailed volume and open interest figures
Data corresponding to the ranking showed Hyperliquid L1 with $239.238 billion in 30-day perpetual volume, $46.283 billion over seven days, and $8.31 billion over the previous 24 hours. Its open interest stood at $6.804 billion.
Solana recorded $45.986 billion in 30-day volume, $11.706 billion over seven days, and $2.564 billion in 24 hours, with open interest of $213.09 million. Arbitrum posted $47.26 billion in 30-day volume, $11.855 billion over seven days, and $2.366 billion in 24 hours, with open interest of $1.025 billion.
zkLighter registered $45.618 billion in 30-day volume, $10.319 billion over seven days, and $1.73 billion in 24 hours, with an open interest of $550.38 million. edgeX L1 showed $42.262 billion in 30-day volume, $10.178 billion over seven days, and $1.54 billion in 24 hours, with open interest of $576.67 million.
A separate monthly view for September showed $272.191 billion in cumulative perpetual volume across the listed chains at the time of the snapshot. In that period, Hyperliquid L1 accounted for $115.578 billion, Arbitrum $27.874 billion, Solana $27.461 billion, zkLighter $21.561 billion, edgeX L1 $20.801 billion, and Ethereum $18.943 billion. Additional figures included Base at $3.127 billion, dYdX at $401.09 million, BSC at $376.4 million, Paradex at $140.31 million, and others at $35.927 billion.

Related Perp market developments
On September 16, Payward, the parent company of Kraken, stated that it plans to deploy onchain perpetual futures markets on Hyperliquid for eligible United States clients. The plans involve a permissioned extension of the platform’s builder-deployed contract framework. Contracts, if approved, would be listed under the rules of Bitnomial Exchange, LLC, subject to regulatory approval. No launch date was provided.
BitGo Holdings, Inc. announced on September 10 that eligible clients using BitGo self-custody hot wallets can connect their existing wallets to Hyperliquid through WalletConnect. The connection allows access to Hyperliquid perpetual markets without creating a separate wallet or a new approval process for fund transfers.
Separately, Crypto.com’s US derivatives exchange registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission to trade futures on individual stocks, including interest in perpetual contracts. North American Derivatives Exchange, operating as OG.com, filed the notice on September 14. The SEC acknowledged receipt of the Form 1-N on September 16 in Release No. 34-106396, under File No. 10-255. The company indicated it is working with the SEC and the CFTC on the matter.
