Key Highlights
- Ethena’s USDe and sUSDe are now available on TRON through Stargate Finance.
- JustLend DAO and SUN.io are expected to integrate the assets in the coming weeks.
- TRON had more than 403 million accounts and over $94 billion in circulating USDT as of September 2026.
Ethena has launched USDe and sUSDe on the TRON network, allowing users to bridge, hold and transfer the assets across the network.
According to an announcement published on September 11, users can bridge USDe and sUSDe to TRON through Stargate Finance. Support from TRON-based applications, including JustLend DAO and SUN.io, is expected to follow in the coming weeks.
The launch adds USDe to a network where stablecoin activity is already heavily concentrated in USDT.
USDe and sUSDe arrive on TRON through Stargate
The initial rollout is focused on cross-chain transfers through Stargate.
USDe is Ethena’s dollar-denominated synthetic asset, while sUSDe is its rewards-bearing version.
Users can now move both assets to TRON through Stargate, but their ability to use them for lending, trading, or other applications will depend on individual protocols integrating the tokens.
Ethena founder Guy Young pointed to TRON’s existing stablecoin activity when discussing the launch.
“TRON has a massive user base that already holds and moves digital dollars in significant size.”
USDT dominates TRON’s stablecoin market
TRON already has a large market for dollar-denominated digital assets.
Figures cited in the announcement show that the network had more than 403 million accounts and over 15 billion transactions as of September 2026.
Circulating USDT on TRON exceeded $94 billion, while the network’s total value locked (TVL) stood above $28 billion.
Application support will determine USDe’s usage
USDe and sUSDe are not yet supported across TRON’s DeFi ecosystem.
Ethena and TRON said JustLend DAO and SUN.io are expected to integrate the assets in the coming weeks.
Such integrations would give users additional ways to use USDe and sUSDe after bridging them to TRON. The extent of that activity will depend on liquidity, available markets, and user demand.
For now, the launch establishes cross-chain availability, rather than demonstrating significant new liquidity for USDe on TRON.
USDe expands across lending and payments
The TRON launch follows several recent developments involving USDe in other parts of the crypto market.
On September 7, Aave V4 activated a dedicated Ethena market on Ethereum, supporting USDe, sUSDe, and related principal-token products.
Earlier this month, Ethena launched Ethena Pay on Avalanche, allowing eligible users to hold, transfer, and spend USDe through a self-custodial payments application.
These developments are separate from the TRON launch, but they show USDe being integrated into different parts of the crypto market, including lending, payments, and cross-chain transfers.
TRON adds USDe to its stablecoin mix
TRON has historically been one of the largest networks for USDT transfers.
The arrival of USDe gives users another dollar-denominated asset on the network, although the competitive position between the two tokens will depend on how widely USDe is adopted.
TRON founder Justin Sun said: “Bringing USDe and sUSDe to TRON broadens the options available to users.”
Whether that plays out will depend on how quickly JustLend DAO, SUN.io, and other TRON-based protocols actually integrate the assets.
USDe’s next test is adoption on TRON
The immediate change is that USDe and sUSDe can now be bridged to TRON through Stargate.
The next stage will be the rollout of application support, particularly from JustLend DAO and SUN.io.
That will provide a clearer indication of whether users are using the assets for lending, trading, and other onchain activity or primarily moving them between networks.
For now, Ethena has entered a blockchain with a large existing stablecoin market. Whether that translates into meaningful USDe adoption will depend on liquidity, integrations, and actual user activity rather than the size of TRON’s existing USDT market alone.
