US equity and bond markets are closed Monday, September 7, for Labor Day, leaving four trading days for the week’s main economic releases. Thursday brings the August Producer Price Index (PPI) and weekly jobless claims, while Friday brings the August Consumer Price Index (CPI). The European Central Bank is also scheduled to announce its latest monetary-policy decision Thursday. Crypto markets remain open throughout the week, so the scheduled economic releases will take place while digital-asset markets are trading.
On the protocol side, Solana’s Transaction V1 activation and the MultiversX Supernova upgrade are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. Fractal Bitcoin is also approaching its first network halving, with the timing determined by block production. The week also includes several scheduled token unlocks.
Macro: US Inflation and the ECB
On Monday, September 7, the US equity and bond markets are closed for Labor Day, but crypto markets remain open.
The BLS is scheduled to release the August PPI at 8:30 a.m. ET on Thursday, September 10, alongside weekly jobless claims. The ECB is also due to announce its monetary-policy decision. The decision will be followed by the central bank’s regular press conference.
The BLS is scheduled to release August CPI at 8:30 a.m. ET on September 11. The report will arrive ahead of the Federal Reserve’s September 15–16 meeting and will provide another inflation reading for policymakers.
For context, July CPI rose 0.1% month over month and 3.4% year over year, while core CPI increased 2.5% year over year. The August figures will provide the latest official reading on consumer-price changes before the September FOMC meeting.
Crypto-Native Events: Network Upgrades and a Halving
Solana Transaction V1
Solana is scheduled to activate Transaction V1 on September 9, a new transaction format that increases the maximum serialized transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes. Solana says the format is designed to support additional on-chain use cases while changing how transactions interact with Account Lookup Tables.
The activation is tied to the network’s epoch schedule rather than a chain split, so the exact timing can vary. Infrastructure providers including RPC providers, indexers and wallets will need to support the new transaction format.
MultiversX Supernova
MultiversX is scheduled to activate its Supernova upgrade on September 10 at approximately 18:05 UTC, at activation round 32,157,661. The upgrade will reduce the network’s stated block time from six seconds to 600 milliseconds and changes the relationship between consensus and transaction execution.
MultiversX has said the network will temporarily pause transaction processing during the activation window. The upgrade does not require a token swap or migration, and users should rely on official MultiversX communications for any instructions involving EGLD.
Fractal Bitcoin First Halving
Fractal Bitcoin is approaching its first halving, with the event expected in September. The halving is triggered by block height rather than a fixed clock time, so the exact date depends on the network’s block production. The base FB block reward is scheduled to fall from 25 FB to 12.5 FB at the halving height.
Token Unlocks
Several token unlocks are scheduled throughout the week, including STABLE on September 8; NAME and MOVE on September 9; BABY, DappOS, DOM and Linea on September 10; io.net, Holoworld AI, Nereus and Mocaverse on September 11; Aptos and Pump.fun on September 12; and Unitas Labs on September 13.
Unlock estimates can vary between tracking services and can change as token prices move. A scheduled release also does not establish that recipients will sell the tokens. The Crypto Times has previously noted that the potential market impact of an unlock depends on factors including the size of the release relative to circulating supply, the recipients and whether those holders sell.

Conferences and Other Events

Upbit is also scheduled to delist BONK on Monday. Users affected by the delisting should check Upbit’s official notice for the applicable trading, deposit and withdrawal deadlines.
Looking Ahead
The week leads into a heavier US monetary-policy calendar. The Federal Reserve’s September 15–16 FOMC meeting will include a new policy decision and updated economic projections. The Fed’s communications blackout began September 5 and runs through September 17.
The Senate could also take up the CLARITY Act around September 15, depending on the chamber’s schedule and ongoing negotiations. The timing should be treated as a potential development rather than a confirmed vote date unless formally scheduled.
For crypto markets, the immediate calendar is therefore concentrated around US inflation data, the ECB decision, two major protocol upgrades, Fractal Bitcoin’s halving and scheduled token-supply events, followed by the Fed meeting the following week.
