A public dispute has emerged between blockchain investigator ZachXBT and rapper Waka Flocka Flame after Waka accused the Fomo app of manipulating data and misleading users.
The exchange began after Fomo co-founder Se Yong Park said the platform had reached 1 million swaps in a day. Waka responded by questioning how the figure was generated and whether the platform was treating users differently.
“Why are you manipulating data and deceiving users?” Waka wrote. He also accused the app of looking like an “extraction vehicle” for its operators and their friends.
Waka subsequently urged users to delete the app and avoid the people behind it, escalating the criticism into a direct warning about the platform.
ZachXBT points to Waka’s crypto history
ZachXBT responded by questioning Waka’s record in the crypto market rather than directly addressing the Fomo allegations.
“Why is a known celeb extractor who promoted numerous scams undisclosed in the past now talking about extraction vehicles?” ZachXBT wrote.
He shared an older post involving Waka from June 2024. The post pointed back to previous investigations into crypto projects promoted by the rapper. At the time, Waka launched the FLOCKA memecoin on Solana and announced it on X to his followers. He shared the token’s ticker and contract address and said, “We live right now.”
The launch soon came under scrutiny from ZachXBT. The investigator citing on chain data, pointed to a fresh wallet with the tag “Ag41gomG4npojqcZKSgEjP5myx3XSdHR5LVc4zTETC6L “ that appeared to have obtained about 40% of FLOCKA’s supply before sending the tokens to other wallets. The activity raised concerns in the crypto community because such a large token holding could create heavy selling pressure if the tokens were sold.
There was also another issue around the timing of the launch. On-chain data showed that FLOCKA had already been trading for at least an hour before Waka announced it publicly. Some users criticized the rollout and questioned why the contract address was not shared earlier.
FLOCKA later declined substantially from its peak, although the price decline itself does not establish wrongdoing by Waka or other participants.
Waka’s Fomo criticism remains unverified
Waka’s claims about Fomo have not been independently established based on the information available. His criticism centered on the platform’s reported 1 million swaps and whether its data accurately represented user activity. He also questioned whether the platform gave certain users preferential access.
Fomo and its representatives have not been shown in the supplied material to have manipulated trading data or deceived users.
The Crypto Times has reached out to Waka Flocka Flame for comment on the allegations, but had not received a response at the time of publication.
Another public clash for ZachXBT
The Fomo dispute comes as ZachXBT continues to publish investigations and challenge crypto-related figures on X.
On August 10, 2026, he published an investigation alleging that Tiffany Milanovich was involved in support impersonation operations targeting hardware wallet and centralized exchange users. ZachXBT estimated that the alleged operations had resulted in at least $5 million in losses.
He also recently confronted Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire on X over the company’s handling of stolen USDC connected to the $280 million Drift exploit. He replied to Allaire’s post with “Stop virtue signaling” and shared screenshots about the incident.
For now, the Fomo dispute remains a public exchange of competing claims: Waka has questioned the platform’s data and business practices, while ZachXBT has responded by highlighting Waka’s previous involvement in crypto projects.
