X, a social media platform owned by billionaire Elon Musk, has suspended several Bitcoin-related accounts after Nikita Bier, a former head of product, alleged that one person operated more than 10 accounts and took more than $250,000 from X’s Creator Revenue Sharing program over two years.
Bier said the accounts were linked to stolen content and coordinated activity, and that the case was sent to law enforcement.
The suspended accounts include @Vivek4real_, @Bitcoin_Teddy, @BitcoinSapiens, @DocumentingSaylor, @Kalshibacktest, @polybacktest, and @saylordocs. The suspensions followed allegations that some accounts reposted content created by other users and presented it as their own.
How did the $250K allegation emerge
The issue gained attention on August 18 after an X account, FinanceLancelot, called attention to commentator Vivek Sen’s account @Vivek4real_. The user tagged Bier and other X figures while alleging that the account was made up of stolen posts and videos from other accounts.
Bier responded by alleging that one person was operating more than 10 accounts and had made more than $250,000 from X’s revenue-sharing program over the previous two years. He added that he was forwarding the case to law enforcement.
The allegation goes beyond content reposting. According to Bier, the same operator allegedly used multiple accounts to participate in X’s revenue-sharing system and generate earnings across them.
There is no independent confirmation in the supplied material of the total amount allegedly earned or that all of the suspended accounts were operated by the same person.
More Bitcoin accounts come under scrutiny
The suspensions also brought attention to other large Bitcoin-focused accounts. Commentator AlexesNakamoto alleged that Vivek4Real had been running more than 10 accounts at the same time, posting large amounts of content and using coordinated engagement.
He identified @Vivek4real_, @Bitcoin_Teddy, and @BitcoinSapiens among the accounts he knew about. He later questioned whether more large Bitcoin accounts were connected to the same operation.
However, the wider connection between the suspended accounts remains an allegation in the posts provided. X has not publicly confirmed that all of the accounts were controlled by a single operator.
Journalist calls out content reposting
The content-reposting allegations were also raised by journalist Gareth Jenkinson.
Jenkinson said he had recently spoken with Vivek after clips from his show were reposted without credit. He said the clips had a burnt-in overlay showing where the original content came from. However, he said the main issue was that the material was being used without credit.
According to Jenkinson, Vivek defended the practice by saying it was a “net positive” for media personalities and companies because reposted clips could bring them more views and exposure.
Jenkinson did not agree with that explanation. He said, “it’s basically stealing,” while also pointing out that many other accounts were still doing the same thing
X moves to a new creator rewards program
The suspensions come as X prepares to end its existing Creator Revenue Sharing program.
X stopped accepting new applications for the program on August 7, 2026, and plans to retire it on September 7, according to a post on X. Creators already enrolled can continue earning until then, with three final payouts scheduled.
X said existing Revenue Sharing members will be able to apply for its new Original Content Rewards program from September 8 if they meet the requirements. The new program is designed to reward creators for original ideas, reporting, expertise, creativity, and commentary.
