Strategy Inc. Viewed as Bitcoin Proxy
Strategy Inc. maintains a substantial Bitcoin treasury, with the company currently managing reported holdings exceeding 840,447 Bitcoin, as per BitcoinTreasuries data. Market participants commonly regard the company’s shares as a proxy for Bitcoin exposure because a significant portion of its balance-sheet value is linked to those holdings.
Due to the firm’s use of equity and preferred-stock offerings to acquire additional Bitcoin, the stock has in various periods produced percentage gains or losses that exceeded the corresponding moves in Bitcoin itself. This amplification arises from the structure of the company’s capital and treasury strategy.
The approximately $180 million figure for net share increases is an estimate derived from the reported changes in share counts multiplied by recent trading prices; it is not a precise sum of capital deployed on specific dates.
