CashCat Meme Coin Surges 35% in a Whale-led Rebound What’s Next

Cash Cat (CASHCAT), the leading meme coin on Robinhood Chain, jumped approximately 35% in the past 24 hours, pushing its price to around $0.117 and lifting its market capitalization near $117 million. The sharp move comes just one day after reports highlighted sustained large-scale buying by whales, even as the token remained roughly 60% below its mid-July all-time high.

The token’s trading volume exceeded $50 million over the period, underscoring renewed speculative interest in the token that briefly captured attention as one of the earliest breakout assets on the newly launched Layer 2 network.

CASHCAT’s 35% surge is driven by large-scale buying from whales, with trading volume exceeding $50 million in 24 hours.
On-chain activity reveals newly funded wallets executing substantial purchases, signaling net accumulation and renewed speculative interest.
The token’s rebound is supported by expanded accessibility and liquidity, including the launch of a CASHCAT/USDT pair on the BTSE exchange.

The rally aligns closely with on-chain activity documented when multiple newly funded wallets executed substantial purchases.

As The Crypto Times reported on August 5, one address spent the equivalent of roughly $791,000 to acquire more than 13 million CASHCAT tokens, while another deployed about $1 million to buy approximately 16 million tokens. These transactions represented fresh capital rather than rotation from existing large holders, signaling net accumulation at levels that were then trading near $0.08 to $0.09 with a market cap of $85–90 million.

Whale Buying Builds Momentum Amid Recovery

Visible large buys in memecoin markets often act as a catalyst, drawing secondary interest from smaller traders who interpret the activity as a signal of smart-money positioning. In CASHCAT’s case, the accumulation coincided with a multi-day recovery that began after the token bottomed in the $0.03–$0.04 range following its post-launch correction.

By early August, the token had already posted consecutive double-digit daily gains, reclaiming the $0.08–$0.09 zone before accelerating further into the current session.

CASHCAT launched shortly after Robinhood Chain’s mainnet debut on July 1, 2026. The token draws its name from an early working title and mascot considered by Robinhood’s founders before the company settled on its current brand.

Developers have emphasized that the project carries no official affiliation with or endorsement from Robinhood Markets and offers zero utility. Despite this, the meme narrative propelled CASHCAT to an all-time high of $0.2252 on July 12, briefly pushing its market capitalization past $200 million amid intense decentralized exchange volume and social media attention.

The recent rebound has been supported by additional factors, including the launch of a CASHCAT/USDT pair on the BTSE exchange on August 4, which expanded accessibility and liquidity. Broader activity on Robinhood Chain, where total value locked has climbed amid both speculative tokens and tokenized real-world assets, has also provided a favorable backdrop.

CASHCAT continues to rank among the higher-volume meme assets on the network, even as the chain’s original focus remains on real-world asset tokenization and DeFi.

Risks Persist Despite Short-Term Strength

While the combination of whale accumulation and the latest price surge has restored some of the token’s earlier momentum, significant risks remain. CASHCAT is still trading well below its July peak, and memecoins are inherently volatile assets driven by short-term sentiment rather than fundamentals, cash flows, or utility.

At present levels, the 35% daily advance has carried CASHCAT’s market capitalization back above $110 million, reflecting both the impact of recent large buys and broader retail participation.
