Pi Network announced that Pi2Day 2025 was a major success, thanks to incredible participation from the community. The Ecosystem Challenge, held from June 28 to July 7, encouraged Pioneers to explore new tools, build apps, and support the growing Pi ecosystem.
Pi Network also revealed more than 2.6 million Pioneers took part in the Challenge, with 761,000 completing all eight steps. Those who finished received a special limited-edition badge. The strong global participation showed the community’s excitement for new ecosystem updates.
Last month, Pi Network released Pi App Studio, an AI-powered, no-code platform that allows anyone to create apps without any coding experience. The program enables users to simply create and publish functioning apps on the Pi Network.
Since its launch, Pioneers has created over 7,600 chatbot apps and 14,100 custom apps. More than 34,800 individuals used the App Studio to build apps, including unpublished ones. Community-created apps like Pi-Tris (a puzzle game), BLACKHOLE (a space chatbot), Healthy Life (health tips), and FlapPi Bird (a flying game) became highlights of this launch.
Pi Network reminded users that the apps created through App Studio are not officially reviewed or endorsed. Pioneers are advised to use caution when trying out these community-made apps through the Pi Browser. One more significant feature released was Ecosystem Directory Staking, where Pioneers could stake Pi tokens to vote for and amplify their favorite apps within the Pi Ecosystem Directory.
Pi Network revealed that over 37.7 million Pi tokens were staked by users, with more than 25 million still actively staked. Over 16,700 Pioneers staked Pi across over 1,450 different apps. Pi Network thanked its community for embracing the new tools, creating apps, and participating in staking.
