Changpeng Zhao, known as “CZ,” the founder of Binance, has become the first cryptocurrency leader to surpass 10 million followers on X (formerly Twitter).
Born in China and later moving to Canada, CZ previously worked at Bloomberg and developed trading systems before entering crypto. He launched Binance in 2017, rapidly growing it into a global powerhouse.

However, in 2023, he stepped down as CEO after pleading guilty to violating U.S. anti-money laundering laws, agreeing to a $50 million fine. Despite this, CZ remains a prominent figure in the crypto space, actively sharing insights and engaging with the community on X.
In recent discussions, CZ has expressed concerns about the proliferation of automated accounts, or bots, on the platform. He emphasized his desire to interact solely with humans, stating, “I think X should ban all bots. I only want to interact with humans here (not ‘Automated’).”
Additionally, CZ has alerted his followers about fake accounts impersonating him, urging users to report such profiles and calling on X’s team to address the issue more effectively.
