Ethereum User Burns 500 ETH to Share 'Brain Control' Warning

One Ethereum user has burned 500 ETH, approximately $1.38 million, to make a bizarre on-chain post about “brain control.”

The post was written in Chinese and published at 6:39 a.m. UTC today. It said Feng Xin and Xu Yuzhi, the founders of Kuande Investment (also WizardQuant), are using brain-machine weapons to harm their workers.

The message even indicated that the two founders are also under control. Kuande Investment is a Chinese hedge fund that operates with quantitative trading in financial markets.

“The bosses of Kuande Investment, Feng Xin and Xu Yuzhi, have used brain-machine weapons to persecute all company employees and former employees. Even they themselves are also under control.”

The 500 ETH was transferred to a null address, which no one has the private key off. This means that these tokens are lost forever. This is referred to as burning tokens, and it removes the tokens from circulation forever.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time the user has burned ETH to send on-chain messages; they have already transferred 603.38 ETH ($1.67 million) to the zero address.

On February 15, 70.36 ETH (around $194,000) was burned with a message that animals are being manipulated by computer machines because of new brain-machine technology.

“With the continuous development of brain-machine interfaces and mind-reading technology, a new type of crime has emerged: wild animals have become puppets or complete slaves of digital machines.” The message read.

The user has also made large donations of ETH to WikiLeaks. They contributed 711.52 ETH, which amounts to $1.97 million, to WikiLeaks’ donation address according to data from Etherscan.

The latest donation was made today and consisted of 591.62 ETH, which equals $1.63 million. The message attached to this donation stated that a certain “Hu Lezhi” has been under the surveillance and control of a brain-control group since he was born.

They stated, “These past two years have been extremely painful, and I have now lost all my dignity as a human being.” The individual also commented, “I have decided to end my life and hope that this ugly world will soon be annihilated.”

Earlier in the day, another WikiLeaks donation came with a message about the use of brain-machine chips for military purposes. It said that “brain-machine chips have already been used extensively for military purposes,” and that big military powers are using them to manipulate citizens. The Ethereum address has sent more than 1238 ETH ($3.4 million) to other addresses.
