Deepseek Warns Against Impersonators And Fake Meme Coins

After gaining popularity, Deepseek, a Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) firm, has become a target for scammers who are trying to make money by targeting innocent investors on social media.

Deepseek cautioned investors and users of scammers exploiting fake memecoins and Twitter accounts to perform hacks. In response to follow-up, the company stated that it has no official memecoins and that the only official account for the company is an X (formerly Twitter) account named Deepseek AI.

Deepseek has warned users not to confuse themselves with accounts mimicking its identity with similar avatars and names, referring to them as impersonators.

The firm urged its community to remain vigilant, and not to be misled by impostors. In response to a concerned user, Deepseek confirmed that the account in question was an impersonator and urged its followers not to trust its information.

A concerned user, DaPangDun, flagged a suspicious account in response to Deepseek’s post. The company confirmed it was a fraudulent account, urging everyone to steer clear of similar impersonators.

In response, the company stated, “This is a typical impersonation account. Please do not trust any information from this account.”
